Specialized Transportation Services is actively hiring a high-energy Driver Recruiter / Safety Coordinator with recruiting & DOT/FMCSA knowledge to support driver hiring, onboarding, and the safety team in a fast-paced trucking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding
- Communicating pay, benefits, job expectations, and policies to drivers
- Pre-qualifying CDL drivers based on DOT and company requirements
- Conducting driver orientation (virtual) and road tests
- Support the safety team with: ELD/log audit reviews, HOS compliance
- Driver coaching (violations, events, etc.)
- Maintain applicant pipelines in ATS (TenStreet or similar)
Required Experience:
- Direct experience recruiting CDL drivers in a trucking company
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Familiarity with tractor-trailer operations
- Experience reviewing MVRs, PSP reports, Work history & safety records
- Familiarity with Hours of Service (HOS) and ELDs
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- TenStreet, McLeod, Geotab, or similar systems
- Experience supporting safety/compliance teams
