Employee Spotlight

MORGAN

Please welcome the newest member of the STS family.  Morgan is working in the Smyrna office as a Financial Analyst.  Morgan was raised in Milan, TN, but has recently moved to Murfreesboro. She is smack dab in the middle of the birth order with an older and younger brother.  Morgan already has a great deal of knowledge of the trucking industry.  Her parents and grandparents have been in the trucking industry for as long as she can remember.

Morgan attended Cumberland University on a golf scholarship and received her Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in Accounting.  She then went on to get her Masters in Accounting from Union University, where she was the Golf Coach.  She just might give Ramsey a run for his money on the golf course!

When asked what she liked to do in her spare time, she told me right away that she loves to keep things organized.  The neater, the better…..she just might find herself moonlighting trying to keep us all straight!  She also enjoys travel and has been blessed with the opportunity to visit many places.  She said that her favorite vacation spot is a small private beach on the coast of Spain that she visited with one of her golfing teammates.

She aspires to one day own a trucking company.  Based on her family history and her love of the industry, it sounds like her dreams just might come true!

Driver Spotlight

Earl

This week we celebrate Earl for his 3 years of service at STS.  Earl joined the STS family on April 20, 2017.  During his 3 year tenure, Earl has been one of the Nissan dedicated drivers.  We are grateful to have him as part of our STS Family.

In order to get to know Earl a little better, he answered a few questions for us:

Tell us about yourself..

Earl and his wife of 39 years live in Murfreesboro, TN.  He has 3 children, 1 daughter and 2 sons.  On top of that he also has 6 grandchildren that he loves to spoil

What made you decide to become a trucker driver?

After spending 13 years in the Army, he decided on driving because he knew there was no way he could work in a factory.  He said he knew he needed to be out in the open

Favorite pastime when away from work?

Earl said that when he is not driving, he loves mowing grass and being outdoors

Favorite place you have visited?

California, he and his wife went out west last year for his son’s wedding.

If you could write your own ticket…..where and what would you be doing right now?

Earl said he would either be in Hawaii or Germany.  He was blessed enough to visit those places when he was in the Army.
