Employee Spotlight – Mike D. (Shop Manager)

When you have a fleet of tractors and trailers that you have to keep moving, you need someone who knows maintenance. STS is lucky to have Mike Davis on board to run the shop. Mike joined STS in September of 2015. His inspiration to become a mechanic came from his Dad.  Mike works hard to live up to the example his dad set for him.

Although Mike has lived in Middle Tennessee for 30 years, he has seen a bit of the world. He was born in San Antonio, TX and lived in Germany for some time. Mike has been married for 14 years and has 3 children. He truly is a family man and enjoys spending time with his family. In fact, one of his favorite memories is his first trip to the beach with his kids.

Mike says he doesn’t have a lot of spare time; most weekends he does yard work, but when he does have a little time to unwind, he enjoys swimming and boating.  Maybe that is why he knows all the words to “Baby Shark” He is a “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” kind of guy.  STS is lucky to have Mike on our team.
