Welcome to our Family, Bear Daddy
Loyd…A.K.A. Bear Daddy, is one of the newest additions to the STS Family. He started with STS in January 2018 and comes to us from Kingsport, TN. He left a long-time driving job with Goodwill to take a Local position in East Tennessee. Loyd said that the main thing he was looking to do was be closer to his family and come home more often. Loyd has been a truck driver now for over 15 years. His love for trucking came about as a result of his dad working around them a lot in the military. Loyd owned his own business for a while and was well liked by the folks in his community. He made lots of new friends in that area because of his business.
In His Free Time…
When Loyd isn’t leaving out at 2am (does that hour actually exist?!) he may be found tinkering around on cars or stereo systems. He’s an avid heavy metal music fan, which when asked what his fiancée and kids think about his music choice, Loyd says ‘it’s a family tradition.’ 😉 He loves the scary things-Halloween is his favorite holiday and his favorite movie is Krampus. He’s recently gotten into the Archie Comics inspired TV series Riverdale (us too, Loyd) and loves pasta in all its many forms. Loyd has one son and a granddaughter named Adrena. One last thing, Loyd is going to be getting married to his fiancée Susan on March 20th! He is looking forward to joining his family and hers together. If you see Loyd, make sure to give him a pat on the back, welcome him to the family, and congratulate him on his impending wedding. We’re glad to have you aboard, Loyd!
